Regional Enterprise Boot Camp 2012

If you have an idea for a new venture but need help getting it into shape, the Enterprise Boot Camp can provide the expert advice you need to get started.

During this 4 day programme you will learn the practical aspects of starting a business such as finance, marketing, business planning, networking and sales. Sessions will be led by business experts and professional advisors (such as solicitors and accountants) will also be on hand to offer 1:1 advice. Guest entrepreneurs will also be invited to share their stories and tips for success.

When: 2nd to 5th July 2012.
Where: Northern College, Barnsley
Cost: £95 per person, includes accommodation, food and transport.

LEC Enterprise Exchange Programme 2012

In partnership with the Santander Family Business Centre (SFBC) at the University of Salamanca (USAL), the Leeds Enterprise Centre (LEC) is offering a great opportunity for two undergraduate students to take part in a summer exchange programme; an experience that will enrich the student experience of enterprise education and research.

This is made possible by financial support from Santander; places (including travel, accommodation and living costs) are fully funded.

CSR In Action Project

For students who want to learn about Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in business, develop a CSR plan to action and make an impact in local communities, whilst adding skills and experience to their CVs.
This is a three-stage project consisting of: an introduction to community projects, a day of action volunteering in community projects, and a follow up presentation evening.

The Enterprise Society

The Enterprise Society is aimed at young entrepreneurs as a way of developing their skills through business-related challenges and events while having the opportunity to meet like minded individuals and established local entrepreneurs.


SIFE Leeds

SIFE (Students In Free Enterprise) Leeds are a student organisation who run community projects based on the principles of business. They aim to run successful projects to help the local community while adding value to members through improving their skills and providing a social environment.


CYLeeds

CYLeeds is a student society focused on Chinese enterprise, with CY being an acronym of 'ChuangYe' meaning 'start-up' in Chinese. With the knowledge transferred by CYLEEEDS' sharing spirit, members are encouraged to apply their business concepts to develop social and commercial projects that create economic opportunities in the local community, step by step to become international business leaders.
